Terms of Service
Last updated: April 23, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Abolitus platform and outline your rights and responsibilities.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Abolitus ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you may not access or use the Service.
The Service is a client-side privacy artificial intelligence chat application where the core chat engine, prompt assembly, vault decryption, and local storage operate exclusively within your browser environment.
2. User Responsibilities
You maintain sole responsibility for the security of your account identifiers, passwords, recovery phrase backups, and any third-party API keys you utilize. We cannot retrieve or reset these credentials on your behalf.
You are exclusively responsible for the content you create, submit, or route through the Service. Additionally, you must comply with the terms of service and acceptable use policies of any third-party model providers, wallet providers, RPC endpoints, or storage vendors you choose to interface with.
3. Zero-Knowledge Architecture
Abolitus employs a strict zero-knowledge architecture. You acknowledge and accept that we cannot read your local vault, recover your master encryption key, or restore your data if you lose your password and recovery phrase.
Lost credentials, cleared local browser storage, or physical device loss will result in your local encrypted data becoming permanently and irreversibly inaccessible.
4. Payments and Subscriptions
Premium access is offered on a time-bound basis and activated via crypto-denominated payment flows. Due to the decentralized nature of these transactions, all purchases are strictly non-refundable once the entitlement is granted, unless required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing, durations, or plan details prospectively. Any existing paid periods will remain active and unmodified until their explicitly listed expiry time.
5. Content Policy and Acceptable Use
Abolitus incorporates a mandatory, client-side CSAM shield to filter prohibited material. Messages that violate this safeguard will be permanently rejected locally without server-side review or logging.
You agree not to use the Service to violate applicable laws, interfere with our infrastructure, reverse engineer paid control-plane services, or deliberately abuse provider routes, rate limits, or payment systems.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, specific model output quality, provider uptime, or fitness for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Abolitus and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the Service.
7. Termination and Discontinuation
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue the Service or any specific control-plane feature at our sole discretion, at any time, with or without notice.
In the event that premium cloud infrastructure is discontinued, your local encrypted exports and local-first runtime features will remain usable indefinitely, subject to the compatibility of your device and browser environment.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, excluding its conflict-of-law principles.
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
